Though I must admit that most of the listening of this release from VS was done while programming, there is a certain appeal to music that allows for that. Not overtly in-your-face and attacking, VS embodies a certain post-rock charm that has made the genre an underground success. The rejection of conventional form -- a trait typical to post-rock -- combined with the definite melodic tinge VS possesses, allows for interesting, engaging music that succeeds on many levels. Whether listening passively or actively, this album is bound to capture fans of post-rock.

This album is gorgeous! Don't just listen to it once before you pass judgement. Listen a few times through. You will hear those beautiful instrumentals and the soulful vocals. Well written and tinged in earth and stone, it is a masterpiece that should be a part of each musical library. If you don't download it, you will be missing out on something amazing.

Sounds good. I really like your style and vocals. It's pretty chill for sure. Nice album.

I played this for a friend, who in their response epitomized what I can't stand about American music-"it's ok, but it sounds like radiohead".
So an equally competent band as this is lesser because someone else got the record contract? This is well worth the download, and a very talented act, seamlessly integrating key changes, an impressive feat.

Marillion meets Pink Floyd and flys away far beyond...is what poped right into my mind while listening to this album.
It is a mixture of different influences, packed into Rockopera kind of songs.
There are very few rough edges left fo rpolishing.
Most of it is strong Vox with very strong instruments.
Takes you back to the 70s and into the future the same time.
A must listen !
