What a first track, I just loved it and it was over. Short and sweet.
De nouveaux aleas is upon us, burbling gently and seriously, a tinkling in the background, subtle change and focus, a new rhythmic stance. Then it echoes away, sure in itself. Any Body? is a nice use of a vocal sample, well-balanced and darkly hypnotic.
Il est Minuit... has a pretty mellow intro, as it builds with swirls of synthetic noises, almost chanting, tribal. A voice dominates and resonations abound. A piano sounds. A motley chamber orchestra, join in a drunken orgy for a while and then things come under control. As a palindrome it ends.
Le ciel dans le puits, a pirouette of piano strokes, sweet undercurrents of music. And, for a while those dark movements predominate, then becomes balanced with the piano. Equilibrium.
Rebis a babbling tinkle in your aural channels, with symbiotic birdsong.
Elle ne se droguait pas, is like being Kafka's beetle, an altered consciousness experiencing reality from afar. Then, something in the local environment changes drastically, dramatically. A paranoid invertebrates' interpretation of alteration and altercation.
Walpurgis II, brings to mind droves of naked followers of a natural array of gods, accumulating their spiritual worth to the length of being ritualistic. Nice structure and rhythm in the middle. A chanting mantra dissolves into a curious melody created from fibre and wound around a phallic charm. Then a chorus of simulated voices joins the throng, the culmination of all that good spiritedness at its height.
Mie, c'est finale!-) It spent a lot of its time seeming very chaotic and haphazard, but by the time you've thought this, it develops into a much more coherent structure. Nicely done, skilful little twist in the end of the tale that was Re.
