Perfect Power

Amazing songs!

The more I listen to these songs, the more I like them (and I've listened a LOT to them!)
The speed, the sound and the variation within and between the songs is absolutely perfect!

I really can't believe this is such a young band. Each song is so filled with great parts it sounds like it would take years just making them (I still find new stuff I haven't noticed before even after listening to the songs 50-100 times (at lesat)). All instruments as well as the vocals work in perfect harmony and bring out the best in each other.

Even compared to my favorite bands in the power/heavy metal genre (who are far more renowned) this surpasses them in most areas.

If I were to look for something that could be improved it would have to be the english pronunciation. It can be hard at times to understand the lyrics (other than that the vocals are superb though). Also I'd like to have a real end to "City" instead of the fade-out.

The production is also great, bringing out all the great details without being too polished.
Even the album cover fits perfect to the music and band name.

In conclusion, this is one of my favorite albums. Ever. Period!

Was ein Hammer!

Was ist das denn für ein Hammer?!
Das Cover und den Bandtitel finde ich etwas dämlich und hatte auf ein ziemlich grottiges Übungsraum Demo einer minder talentierten Band getippt.
Aber das hier ist der Knaller. Hier werden die Größen des HeavyMetals und des Melodic Death auf eine so geniale Weise zitiert und in technischer Perfektion zelebriert, dass es eine wahre Freude ist. Besonders gelungen finde ich "Iron beasts" und natürlich das akustische Gitarren-Solo am Ende von "City".
Spontan fallen mir immer wieder "In Flames" in ihren besten Momenten ein.

Ich bin schon sehr gespannt was hier noch kommen wird. Hoffentlich bald ein full length Album.

This demo reminded me of old Nocturnal Rites and Arch Enemy at the same time, and I like both of them. Good demo in overall.

This chicks voice sends shivers up and down my scrotum. It is a chick right? All the double bass, million note a second guitar screaching a metal head could want. I wonder if they can pull it off live.

These are songs that include some of my favorite metal genres in one, it is melodic, thrash, death and pretty dynamic. I like it a lot.

Die Band Taste of Hell hat ihr 4 Song Demo von 2007 auf Jamendo online gestellt und sorgten etwas für Überraschung bei mir. Anfangs denkt man hier eher an eine Heavy Metal / Power Metal Band. Schnell wundert man sich über die nicht erwartete Härte und Aggression, die in diesen teils doch groovenden Songs aufsteigt. Die Band versteht es Groove, Melodie und Härte gekonnt miteinander zu vereinen. Hier kommen Erinnerungen an Judas Priests "painkiller" hoch, auch wenn die Band rein gar nicht nach diesen klingt, aber die Sound- und Songstruktur ähneln einander. Wobei ich musikalisch die Band Taste of Hell ansprechender finde. Gefällt mir.
