Manchmal ist einfach alles scheiße und alles scheint schief zu gehen. Wenn Du gerade so einen Tag erlebst, lade dieses Album runter und setze Kopfhörer auf (oder sei einfach 'nett' zu Deiner Umwelt), drehe die Lautstärke voll auf und höre La Pahre oder Matelot. Es würde Deiner Stimmung helfen wenn es nicht ein Tag wäre an dem alles schiefginge und du daher entweder keine Seeder findest oder Dein Provider die Verbindung kappt oder Dein Computer sich entscheiden würde plötzlich keinen Sound mehr abzuspielen.

VERY Good album

I downloaded the album a while ago, judging at that time that it's "okay". A few days later, today, I decided to give the album a listen again, and wow. I'm blown away. Th album isn't merely "okay", it's actually very very good. (I would like to have the lyrics in text, maybe even with a translation, though.)

At any rate, top notch stuff, especially Matelot and Casse Oreilles.

Sea and Field have assembled a short collection of solid Irish or Celtic folks songs with skillful instrumentation and execution. If not for the French lyrics, they would be at home on albums of any of a number of popular Celtic bands. I see them as a bit more up-to-date than The Chieftans, but not quite as "pop" as Celtic Storm. They also remind me of Carbon Leaf, but with a bit more classic feel. Definitely worth a listen.

Anyone who likes Celtic, Irish or English electric folk should find something to like in this all too small collection.

I have no idea what the songs are really about as I can only recognize a few words. Are the lyrics available? Even if I have to run them through the Babel Fish to get them in English it would be worth it.

I am no expert of Frech language music but this reminded me of early Fairport Convention which is no bad thing IMHO.
The fiddle playing has a very celtic feel to it and I enjoyed the album a lot.
