An unusual and beautifully grim trip down a long shiny path headed toward a destitute darkness. The sax was good in "4" and that odd groaning sound, kind of a whale cry added perspective. It feels as if you need to find the story lurking in the track. Then "1" and "2" with that distant, drawn out, echoey sax was very dreamy and melancholy and every now and then there appeared a striking cymbal to wake you up. This thing gives me chills and its almost impossible to understand the need behind those cries, as if I should understand, but I just can't seem to get it but I do know that it is in despair. Whatever it is. This album is interesting, creative, and moody. I appreciate the unique talent behind this creativity but I find this music unattractive and at the same it has a certain strong magnetic appeal.
