Chillout-Weltreise

Alle Tracks wurden zwischen 1990 und 1999 produziert und schon im Jahre 2000 erstmals als Longplayer veröffentlicht. Der Name stammt aus der Zeit, als Schiller (erstes Album: Zeitgeist, zweites: Weltreise) wohl noch nicht mal an ein Album gedacht haben... ;)

Kreatives Schaffen hieß bei diesen Tracks: Eintippen von langen Zahlenkolonnen, Zusammenbau von Notensequenzen. Wer schon mal mit einem Trackerprogramm gearbeitet hat, weiss, was das bedeutet. Und wer sich an den Impulse Tracker erinnern kann, weiss, womit ich diese Tracks gebaut habe.

Westbam

Meinen allerersten fertigen Track hatte ich damals in einen Wettbewerb der Zeitschrift Chip gesendet. Mangels bezahlbarer CD-Schreiber noch auf Diskette. Etwa ein Jahr später sah ich dann auf Viva ein Interview mit DJ Westbam. Im Hintergrund lief tatsächlich der Scream Tracker, den ich damals auch genutzt hatte. Wir wissen, wie die Geschichte lief. Westbam verdiente ein bisschen Geld mit seinen Produktionen. Und ich stieg um auf besagten Impulse Tracker, mit dem alle hier veröffentlichten Tracks entstanden sind...

Ausblick

Derzeit überarbeite ich ein paar weitere Tracks aus der Zeit zwischen 1996 und 2001. Dies wird wohl meine dritte Arbeit werden.

Lizenzinformation: alle genutzten Samples sind entweder selbst hergestellt, von kommerziellen Sampling-CDs oder von Freeware-Webseiten.

Fantastic Piece Of Electronic Music

Wilkommen in der Welt von Danny!
(Welcome to Danny's World)
Weltreise means a travel around the world and like Schiller, the German group of electronic music, in an album with the same name, Danny Ocean presents a great musical variety inside this genre. If the chillout is only present in Dschungel (Jungle), in which it seems that we are surrounded by trees in adventures like Hercules, the electro is the lion’s share and in English (for those who think that hear German is already too much!).
We set off with Arabien (Arabia), which introduces us the evolving path we are going to tread. Winternacht (Winter night) makes us feel the cold wind with the sound of piano provoking some strange sensations, as well as Brise (Breeze) and Wasser (Water), which contain several samples, involving bass and a soft beat. One should also point out the fantastic Umkehr (Reversion), which recalls us Herbert's remix for Hoping and fits well in a set in any alternative club, and M.E.M. with those great deep tones for 4 a.m. when there is a lot of black vodka in the stomach.
To sum up, if Genug means sufficiently and in this album the track tells us this should be played in high volume! it is what we are obliged to do in this travel around the electronic German World.
