John

After 3 years in the universe of Computer music I can finally share my compositions!

Thanks Jamendo

I ask experts to be lenient towards the average quality of the mix, but I make it with what I have and I do not think it deteriorates the composition work ! :)

(Just a little accuracy for the track order : from the oldest to the most recent)

I hope that you will take as much pleasure listening to this music as I had when I composed it ...

John

This is an album of instrumentals featuring a mix of synthetic and natural instruments which could be a great soundtrack, though is quirky enough to be enjoyed without a counterpart. While there's an epic classical feel driven by strings and marching band percussion, it's restrained to a point where the compositions are never overbearing, suit repetition and allow transitions leading to minimalistic intimacy. There are some really lovely sounds on this album where acoustic and synthesis smoothly collide (natural and synth strings with a slow attack for instance). While some musical purists may dislike the tracks lacking the nuances of human performance (it's all computer sequenced), there is an admirable quality to fine-tuned sequenced music, and this album is fine-tuned to listening perfection.

This is my first review on Jamendo, moved to write by this beautiful music - an inventive, but always elegant, blend of sounds. I love the emotional depth that characterises this album, from the reflective passages and moments of pure beauty that feel like being part of a sunrise or floating with the clouds, to sweeping grandeur, heart-racing urgency and the hint of menace which occasionally emerges from beneath the surface. Here can be found so many of life's emotions and experiences, not as caricatures but as complex and intense things, sometimes changing from moment to moment, often recurring. The music is surprising, moving, and impressive from start to finish.
I hope you will produce more music and wish you très grande chance in your musical career. There's no question of 'average quality', I too believe you have an amazing talent. Thank you for your generosity in sharing this with us, John.

An album of Greendjohn's excellent compositions should be required listening for every aspiring musician. These are eight excellent and beautiful instrumental soundtracks created with care and attention to detail and very pleasing to the human ear.

AMAZING! The music is not just film-quality, but EPIC FILM-QUALITY!

My favorite track is factory tale. Reminds me of a fantasy story involving a conspiracy and magic and dragons and EPICNESS!!!

Great work!
