Album description

Primary Curious was intended as a short-lived cover project. Formed in summer of 1999 in Bielefeld, Olli (vocals), Suzie (drums) and Moci (bass) interpretate songs of their icons The Cure, OMD and The Chameleons. After all the label Genetic Music was concerned in a collaboration. In winter 03/04 the debut album "The Intimate Stranger" was recorded and published in July of 2004.

3 and a half years later the band own some live experiences and the first edition of the debut now is solded out. And so that this timeless piece of music-history not get lost we will release this debut digitally in our normal way - also as a free download - to the disposed fan. But not only this - on the new edition with "Rovers" you will get a bonus song only distributed with the first demo recordings of Curious.

Very nice!

This is by far the best album I've downloaded from Jamendo yet. It doesn't sound exactly like the Cure but there are definitely similarities. The good thing is that this sounds more like the 80s Cure than the new Cure. I definitely recommend.

I love the Cure and just listening to your music, I can hear the similarities. i LIKE IT, and just like the cure, you also have created unfading music. Excellent job.

You only had to listen to the first track to know that you are on a winner here, these guys are very much in the mold of The Cure, probably came out of the same mold. An excellent album, keep up the great music, I wait for the next album

I've only recently joined this site, however, this was the first band I discovered.

Bringing elements from The Cure and making them their own, they have managed to create an album well worth hearing. I love it.

I hate saying this but bands like this remind me why Music in the states suck. Mellow, but not boring. Ethereal but not "out there", clear , powerful and most and foremost accessible.
I can write a thousand words, but in the end it would all the say the same thing.

Thought of Angels, what can I say? It reminded me of some of my favorite bands from when I was younger. That solid spiritual beat, hell. I love it.
Falling isn't the most powerful song in my opinion but it's expressive and I believe that's all that matters.

The New Cure

The orginal Cure, were one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world and have sold an estimated 27 million albums as of 2004.

I'am sure this new group "Curious" that sounds so like the old Cure, will go futher. excellent tracks, good music, nice vocals. And well worth a recommendation in my book.
