Album description

fr This text is not available in your chosen language, we are displaying it in its original language.

4 - powers of the herb : n'y voyez pas de l'incitation à fumer ^_^ . Un morceau pas très bien enregistré, fait avec les moyens du bord, mais que j'aime beaucoup. Un peu rock progressif dans le style.

5 - little ball : un morceau mélancolique pour finir en douceur..

Thanks for your music! I really enjoy this album. Very very nice ^__^ This is the kind of music I love to listen to when I'm working on my PC late at night (but it would also be nice while driving on a spacious and empty road). It creates a lovely atmosphere.

psychopathetic (2005) -- the first compilation. ID3 tags in the tracks say, it was mastered in 2005, although publication to Jamendo was made June 2006. The album opens with title piece -- quite unique mix resembling a bit CASIO keyboard demo song, until the guitars kick in: it is hard to distinguish, whether guitar is played live or looped -- but who cares? The final effect is good. We can hear more of it in the next piece: today  after peculiar harmonies of opening tune now we enter mild, multi-layered sound carpet, resembling distantly Mike Oldfield's late works. So is next in line november MMIII, which adds also some radiophonic effects at the end; them leading naturally to the powers of the herb, which bears strong influence of middle east harmonities, though tailored into tonal restrictions of western music. little ball, which closes the record, is little different in mood than the others -- for me the mood is a bit nostalgic, up to mild depression. The feeling of nostalgia is especially brought by the vinyl noise in the background. Overall -- a nice thing, good both for ambient sound background and for relaxing evening alone with Your stereo -- but why so short?. Eight stars.

Love the music.

Ok. This album is so short, that I can afford to tell something abort each of tracks.
1.psychopathethic – surprisingly, the worst number. The tune is not very convincing after you’d heard the way Aphex Twin use similar melodies. The drums are annoyingly plastik, and one of the samples is simply to midi for me.
2.today – much, much Belter. Nice gitar, quite catchy, worth listening for sure.
3.november MMIII – the best one from the record. Postrock looped guitars are In good concord with electronic gentle beat. Great background keyboard. Classy tune.
4.powers of the herb - very energetic, rock-guitar stuff with nice vocal samples. Goood one.
5.Little ball – almost trip-hop. The most samplified track on the record In the nice sentimental mood.

The cover is nice – a beach and the woman on it. What else should we want? ;-) And if I could watch Grace Walhalla in concert I would certainly do that!
Generalny the whole rekord would be a 9 for me, but ‘psychopathethic’ is little too pathethic for me, so I will give 8.

Stay cool!!!

Yeah I like the groove and atmosphere the music brings across. Very therapeutic listening to some of the energy the music emits. Anyways, enjoyed lying in bed just strolling the internet whilst listening to the music. Good job
