Description

The First Sessions - as its name suggests - is a compilation of the first 10 tracks from Project Retouch, created between 2006 and 2008. The tracks vary greatly when it comes to genres, and indeed many different influences can be heard, ranging from the warm acoustic tones of the Nick Cave-esque "And If" to the minimalistic Scandinavian electronica soundscapes of "Rainfall".

The album also includes two featuring artists, with the talented Anet providing female vocals on "Seeker's Lament" and Helsinki-based beatmaker Jango providing the backbone for "Nameless Memories".

Wunderschön melancholisch!

Bekomme beim Hören eine Gänsehaut. Wunderschöne melancholische Atmosphäre, die Stimme, die minimalistische aber wirkungsvolle Musik, alles zusammen einfach genial. Erinnert mich an meine schönsten Wave-Zeiten der 80er. Auch das Cover passt. Cool! Hoffentlich kommt mehr von diesem Project.
