Lost In Dark Days

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years. And seasons. We are all changed by the time passing by, by the vortex of the numbers representing it. 2005-2008: in this period we have wrote, played, lived, lost in dark days. 3 years for 8 fragments, divided in 2 parts, 4 fragments each, 4 as we are. The 1st part is noisy, ungraceful, rotten, rough, uncouth: recorded in january of 2007, 20 years after Sonic Youth's "Sister", Dinosaur Jr's "You're living all over me". The 2nd part, 15 months later, is introspective, ominous, disaffected: recorded in april of 2008, it's a more clean & mature sounding part, because of the fact that we have changed in this time.
7 songs are from late 2005-2006, improved in all these years, years in which we saw things slowly changing, while the time was running fast.
The last track is the youngest one, the summary of what it has been since now, and what will be in the future: doubts, false hopes, new illusions.
2 different parts, parts that together testify the days we went through. Sounds from the years we are born, '86 '87 '88. The lo-fi sound of us walking, lost in dark days.

Secondi, minuti, ore, giorni, mesi, anni. Stagioni. Noi tutti siamo caratterizzati dallo scorrere del tempo, dal vortice dei numeri che lo rappresentano. 2005-2008: in questo periodo abbiamo scritto, suonato, vissuto, persi in giorni oscuri. 3 anni per 8 frammenti, divisi in 2 parti, 4 per ciascuna, 4 come siamo noi. 1 parte noise, sgraziata, marcia, grezza, sguaiata: registrata nel gennaio del 2007, 20 anni dopo "Sister" dei Sonic Youth, "You're Living all Over Me" dei Dinosaur jr. La 2° parte, 15 mesi dopo, riflessiva, oscura, rassegnata: registrata ad aprile del 2008, una parte che suona più pulita, più matura, perchè essenzialmente siamo noi ad essere cambiati. 7 canzoni su 8 scritte nel periodo 2005/2006, perfezionate nel corso degli anni, anni in cui abbiamo visto le cose cambiare lentamente, mentre il tempo correva veloce. L'ultimo pezzo è il più giovane, il sunto di quello che è stato fin'ora, di quello che sarà: dei dubbi, delle incertezze, delle false speranze, delle nuove (dis)illusioni.
2 parti diverse, ma che assieme testimoniano i giorni che sono passati. Suoni dagli anni in cui siamo nati, 86-87-88. Il suono lo-fi di noi che camminiamo, persi in giorni oscuri.
