Album description

Busted In Bulgaria is a collection of songs that document living in a strange land. During a two year period, the tracks were all recorded in a raw stripped down way on a laptop using Adobe Audition 2.0. The songs range from Psychedelic, shoegaze, folk-rock to experimental. The album is full of sound effects to add a creative vibe. Some songs even have the actual sound from students in the Bulgarian school where Jim Guittard taught English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Pernik. Guittard sings a handful of songs in the Bulgarian language. Guittard wrote and produced the album songs.

Since I moved Quite often as I was growing up, and even moved from New England to Oregon I can relate to an album based on living in a strange place. I would recommend this album.

Very Interesting Perspective

It is incredibly interesting to "see" one's familiar realm through the perspective of a complete stranger to that realm. :D

My favourite song is "Babas On Their Bench". But all of them are great.

I wanted to check out Busted in Bulgaria. I listened to Hoola Hoop Girl 'cause I liked the title. Nice reverb. 8A class was pretty funny. I teach 8A too, but I'm teaching them science, in a hick town in Australia.
Anyway, I'm listening on a macbook through speakers the size of rice grains. I've enjoyed it,and I couldn't say this is the review you deserve, but I've dug what I've heard (up to Please take me to the moon). Right now I need to take my bottle of Sparkling Shiraz to a hot bath.
Thanks, maybe I'll have another go sometime.
