The comparative mildness brings me back down to planet Earth. Controlled experimental electronica, under laboratory conditions and empirical observations. Nicely distant from the rocky road I have recently travelled, but what a road it was! Structured and minimalistic, it relies heavily on a trusted style of this facet of creative artistry that rests easily within my uneasy mind and I find a sense of calmness in it. After all, it's about the floor. Linoleum has a nice gentle sense of progression that flows seamlessly into the second track, Hardwood. A different material and a different sense of musical accomplishment. Maintaining it's minimalism, though losing none of its effectiveness. Then from that carefully slotted wooden flooring to the plush, comparatively soft feel of Carpet. Full of static build up. Then finally, the necessary hardness of Tile, professionally laid down and grouted, they shine when cleaned and work well in hospitals of various denominations. The blood comes off easier, though soaks in between to fester microscopically into cultures of slow, painful and mysterious death. Nice little EP from ARF.
