Voici notre premier album.

This is longer, more varied and generally better than Démo; Lovely Girls Are Blind have grown in the right direction. I would love to see this live!

The big change is the addition of keyboards. This allows for the slow, delicate movements in the first track as well and as providing a few intermissions. 2:30 in "Hypo" is a great moment using the organ to make the track 'bigger' without resorting to distorted guitars.

The track arrangements have a good sense of direction and balance this well with repetition to give comfortable music that avoids boredom. There is also a good range of track lengths, which is nice as it allows for different kinds of structure.

I don't like the mellotron solo (Interlude 1). It is a nice composition, and for the first part of the piece I appreciated how bizarre the mellotron choir sounds when it is exposed. However, by using this clumsy sound for the whole track I was distracted from what could have been a more emotional experience. Interlude 2 works better. I'm sure there are many people who would not be bothered by this.

Overall this is an emotional and exiting album which I listen to frequently. I'm looking forwards to the next one, if it exists!
