Album description

es This text is not available in your chosen language, we are displaying it in its original language.

Recorded and mixed in May and June 2008 by Daniel Bautista in a Gentoo Linux box. This album has Beethoven classics from the great blockbusters (symphonies, sonatas) to the almost unlistenable Grosse Fuge (wich almost made me mad). Hope you like it!

good interpretation of classical music

Reminds me of a classical piece that was done by Rainbow, great interpretation and great album.

Great idea to turn Beethoven's music into rock!
I think it was great!
10 points - i wish i could give 20!

Nice and interesting interpretation of the classics.

The 9th Ode to Joy seems to lack some of the power it should have, probably due to the missing instruments.

I could not stand the whole Grosse Fuge. I guess there's a reason why it's less known.

I think the interpretation of the 5th is the nicest of the album.

Quite short instrumental album. A bit modernized interpretation of some most known Beethoven passages on electric guitars. The raw and daring sound brings freshness and whole new look to a bit stalled world of romantic music and its interpretations. Especially the Seventh Symphony -- speaks for itself and needs no further explanations. Very good job for making these works popular again. Any flaws? So what comes to the first plan is the Klang: although the guitars are played perfectly, the lack of bass and the fact, that recordings were made against automated drums, are audible, but not annoying. Then the mixing could have been more dynamic -- but this will come over time, maybe letting the sound files to be mastered by some more experienced sound engineer will do. I have also some words to say about the interpretation in general: it didn't made me jump out of my socks (although it made me to discover anew the Beethoven's symphonies). When it comes to the rock interpretations of classical music, the standards were set long ago by Emerson, Lake & Palmer and now the listener expect something more than just exact replay -- though I must say, that cropping Seventh an Ninth without loosing the mood was quite an achievement. And The Great Fugue needs no face-lifting -- it already sounds of 70's psychedelia. Summary? This record could use bass guitar and drums played by live person, together with some improvised solos, but is not bad at all: six stars [++++++----].

Totally Awesome! Good job and keep it up! Love Sym. No. 5.

¡Hombre, No tengáis miedo Daniel
me encanta tu música. Eres formidable.

with your music, members have to find good audio tracks for more speed drum and find a very good singer. It could be one of the best cooperative band on Jamendo (band styles like X-Japan or Versailles ...).

Muchas gracias

I was founding for musics that I can reuse, download and remix in my videos freely and I just found this album perfect for that. A broad range of emotions, very well performed and with a great and fair Creative Commons license.
Great work Daniel Bautista.

One size does not fit all; heavy metal fans can now hear great works of classical music in their preferred style.

Some attempts were simply unachievable due to the style of the classical music that was adapted, however, there is some very valuable work here.
