so, i'll admit that i don't really know the first thing about ska, but i do know that aping your album title from refused (who aped it from nation of ulysses) is a pretty ballsy move, particularly when you aren't really offering anything new in the way of either ska, punk, or jazz. needless to say, i was honestly disappointed. i truthfully was looking forward to hearing something revolutionary, but this just sounds like the mighty, mighty bosstones - whom i hated when i first heard in 1997.
so take that as a half-hearted recommendation if you enjoy ska/punk crossover. but for the rest of you - in the words of propaghandi - "ska sucks". save yourself the download and listen to the specials instead.
