EXCELLENT PUNK!!!!!

Very reminiscent of late 70's early 80's punk. These guys rock. I recommend them to everyone. I can't say I have a favorite track, they are all great. I do enjoy the May Day history lesson.

Louise Lingg and the bombs: qualcuno di questi ragazzi deve essere appassionato del movimento operaio statunitense a cavallo tra '800 e '900 e in particolare all'anarco-sindacalismo. Per chi non lo sapesse Louise Lingg era uno dei condannati a morte di Haymarket Square del 1886 - evento tumulutuoso che diede vita al 1° Maggio. Una grande storia ma poco conisciuta in Europa se non nei ristretti ambiti di militanza politica.
Suonano un punk, tra '77 e californian style, scanzonato al punto giusto, arricchito con una tastiera dalle venature new wave e qualche sonorità più "moderna". La voce nervosa di Josh narra storie di anarchismo, di movimento sociali e di disordine globale, infilandoci in mezzo anche personaggi inaspettati come la Principessa Mononoke, la protagonista di una bellissima fiaba del maestro d'animazione nipponica Miyazaki, rivelando così un animo in qualche modo "pop". Questi wobbly-punk parigini meritano di essere sentiti, e devo dire che si distinguono dai gruppi punk che fin'ora ho ascoltato su Jamendo.

finding (international) noise conspiracy tepid lately? is turbonegro not political enough for you? well, my friend, this is your record. fun, upbeat, danceable and several other adjectives that other punk bands only wish they could touch upon, sounding far more vital in 30 seconds than your favourite band ever could. the only confusing bit - the nearly 22 minute "death in the haymarket" which breaks up the ep's flow substantially.

however, you can't help but get the feeling that you've heard this all before, and for those of you who have since grown up and gotten jobs, this is one that will have a tough time ringing true. but still, the energy is undeniable. say hello to your new good-time party soundtrack.

This band has got catchy music in their blood, and they're not showing any signs of letting up with this release! This album's got everything. Hip-hop breakdowns, sing-a-long choruses, history lessons, snotty vocals, facemelting guitar solos; I could go on and on. You've done yourself a major inconvenience if you haven't given this a listen yet.
