At first I was sceptical that this would rest well with me, but by track three I find myself strangely immersed in the sounds and compelled enough to say so. There is indeed a uniqueness about the overall effect of this musical creativity. I am not a huge fan of lyrical works, preferring instrumental activity but here they are well balanced, being strong they could easily be overused and overwhelming as a result, which would mean I would turn it off and not bother. But, I'm still listening, so to my mind that means there is something here worth listening to, even if you don't like the darkness of it all, there are moments of lighter ambience as well. I will say, particularly with reference to Death Hurts Only A Moment, that my parents all died from cancer and with the trickery of time and space warping as it is wont to do, a moment can last for eternity, into the world of the souls that have suffered and continue to be lost and aimless in the aetheric realm.
As a child the darkness held me in a state of fascination that lasted for many years into adulthood, for very particular reasons and as a motivation to wreak revenge on those I believed had done me harm and wrong. That it was effective panned out, but at a price, and that is the only thing I would warn people to take care about. With this proliferaion of magic and mayhem, engendered by the likes of Rowling's work and the fact that everyone thinks, and does, produce equal tomes of magic and mystery, there is a danger to the individual that such dabbling comes at a price, and that price can be a heavy one to bear, nay even survive. Tread carefully and cautiously, there is a profound sense of strength and fortitude to be able to survive such forays into the darker aspects of existence and experience that not all will have as characteristics.
Anyway, that's my liability assuaged, back to the music. There are some very good moments in amongst the growling vocals, that are worth commending. However, to be fair, it does not do anything that it says it is in the tags. To avoid repetition, read them yourselves, you should have already done that, so therefore not be at all surprised at some aspects, but be pleasantly surprised in the actual expression. It is not all doom and gloom. That is present without doubt, but there are some more easily digestible moments of musical creativity which is why I'm still listening and writing and urge you to give it a go yourself. You might become enamoured of it more than you would expect, than if you just take it at face value.
