Der Tunnel am Ende des Nichts ist eine kleine musikalische Zeitreise durch die letzten anderthalb Jahrzehnte meiner Schaffensperiode. Die klangliche Spanne reicht vom dreckigen 8 Bit Noise des guten alten Paula- Chips des Commodore Amiga bis zu den Möglichkeiten heutiger Rechentechnik.

Um die Dynamik und die klangliche Vielfalt so gut wie möglich zu erhalten sind die Tracks wenig auf Loudness getrimmt, man muß den Lautstärkeregler also etwas höher drehen als bei typischen kommerziellen Produktionen. Eine gute HiFi-Anlage mit ordentlichen Lautsprecherboxen oder gute Kopfhörer sind Pflicht.

Smoke some spliff, put on your headphones and this music will beam your brain into a higher state of consciousness. Outstanding marvellous tracks.

Long tunnel...

I'm a Ghost wasn't quite there, but I think that's the point and what being a ghost is like? Noisy Operation was brilliant, gritty, realistic. The title track, Der Tunnel am Ende des Nichts, a lovely piece of sound sculpture. Very clean, with some wonderful sounds towards the end. Smoke, and we are down and dirty again, though the development across the years appears to show a sensation of development, which is based on an array of multi-talented and chronologically mixed, compositions. I love Smoke!-) It's kind of a middle ground sound.

Further back in time with Klavier IV, which is a nice classical piece with piano. Beautiful. Then, Iterationen, twelve years apart from the last track. And, although there is a difference, there is also a similarity that is unmistakeable. The difference may show, but it doesn't appear to matter and this album is almost like a Greatest Hits concept. I think it works surprisingly well, considering the disparity of time, and the change is subtle but strong. Nice work, over those years for sure.
