Album description

I've got to that point in the album-a-month project (17 albums released thus far from April2007 to August 2008) where I'm thinking: this track would go great with this track, and so on. Before I knew it, I'd put together 9 previously recorded tracks from the albums TIDALWAVE, ACOUSTIC ARCADE, LONG LIVE LOVE, and LEGEND. The tracks knit together well, and I like that. They have a folk/country feel, some of my best lyrics and melodies, and more than anything they're very personal and emotional songs for me. They are a clear introduction to my acoustic/folk/country songwriting if you are unaware of my work, a clear introduction to my lasting art..

WHY DYLAN'S DEAD?

I've called the project DYLAN'S DEAD? It's a rhetorical question. It's a big nod of the head to the legend. Anyone who knows about me and my music, also knows I have a handful of music gods I pay regular homage to - Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and John Lennon.

Sean T Wright is a pioneer of DIY music. His first album release was in 1976! Download - original, free, and legal, go to: www.seantwright.com

I can not believe my ears - this album is so good. The voice reminds me of silk and Guiness - it's so smooth and sexy. Fine songs one and all. Hail Sean!

Really good album, good lyrics, very catchy tunes. All the songs are well done. Very haunting lyrics as well.Well worth a listen.
Type of album you will listen to over and over again.

Dylan's Dead? Not yet! He lives on in Sean Wright, I reckon. What a beautiful, clever, passionate collection of songs. I love the way Wright twists his lyrics, double meanings and allusions all over the place. There's something comforting in the overall sound of these songs which is a new dimension to Wright's other albums here on Jamendo. Yet... his vocals hit the spot everytime, such a great vocal master.

I can't fault this powerfully emotional album. The songs really touched me deeply. The themes ping-pong from love to loss to betrayal, with Wright's deep, resonant vocal sending shivers down my spine. Dylan's Dead is a must listen for all fans of indie, creative commons music.

I liked This Is A Gun, dark and disturbing words but hooky as hell. I Keep Wondering stands out as a classy folk-country songs, Again good words and tune.

Sounds like a Dylan type album, but Sean Wright's voice is great. Not that Dylan's is not, but Dylan is more of a growler, than a tuneful singer, imo.

DYLAN'S DEAD? is a great title for the album. It fits with the folky-country feel. Though some of the songs like the cute I WISH I WAS A LTTER have harder rock guitars building into the track later.

It's an album full of cracking tunes.
