Album description

Fool's Paradise is an original 5-track EP recorded in 2004. Offering gothic trip-hop with ambient and experimental touch it comes now with a bonus part containing Daydream Diary, a single of 2005, and four notable tracks from the long-play Clandestine (2003). The best opportunity to learn what Spinefish was about in its early years.

Thanks to eternal blue moon for the suggestion:

GREAT! Nice relaxing, goth . . . a little dark and dreamy . . . peaceful and sometimes a little depressed . . . but wonderful voice and music . . .. I loved it. Some of the percussion pieces was exceptionally outstanding. The lyrics (what I could hear) were expressive of the emotions as required for gothic pieces. (please consider putting your lyrics up for the reading) I really loved the songs where the male singer whispered . . . which were so evocative of questioning the values of life as goth tends to do . . ..Very Nice!

As soon, as I started to check this very hypnotic, compelling album out, I was speechless and spellbound by the aura, beauty, captivating, emotional, heavenly mixs and blend of vocals and atmospheric-al, dark, ambient, indie, triphop, experimental, gothic even sounding music and good thought provoking, captivating, lyrics and vocals.. This is a movie and a good story in music.

Intangible is quite an intense track, and speaks from a very emotional angle from what I can make out, knowing that which is intangible and equally untouchable, apart from our perceptions. All-pervasive, all-elusive. Guardian Angel carries on the aethereal slant, with a profound sense of musicality. A lovely track as well. Wish I had one myself. More Than... just a guitar track, a thing of surreal beauty. The piano and emotionality involved is deeply moving. Then it all comes together in a celebration.

Next we have, Eyes of Grief, a sonorous note to start with, that develops into a slow paced track, that speaks volumes for me, suiting my current mood at the this moment, so you'll have to excuse my sensitivity. Shattered 21 cannot remove the mood of one, when it is so low, just let it flow. Fool's Paradise indeed. Daydream Diary (original) I've heard before, of that I am sure. Daydream Diary (ambient) is not the same, which I know is stating the obvious, though it's not always the case. Nice to hear a different mix that is actually a different mix.

Embrace Me is fantastic, a lovely mix of sound and structure. Aeons has an ethnic feel to it which would be appropriate for an encapsulation of aeons in time and the first sounds constructed in musical fashion. Very earthy and almost primeval. My Humble Tyranny is worth as much as other people taking advantage of a good nature. There is every right to feel so. We finish with Python Analog, a strong plodding track of large dimensions, with some lovely sounds therein. Overall, a very enjoyable listen. Give it a go.
