postrock ambient noise drone radio

Beautiful languid rock in your ears as you perch on lines of apparently random communications. Nice track with a lovely sense of yearning in places, though for the most part it sounds rather impartial. The latter half (or so) becomes looser and more spacious, still retaining the interruption of wavelength traffic in an ambient atmosphere. I kept feeling towards the end it was going to break into Fortran-5's 'Crosstown Traffic'. Somewhere between that and Porcupine Tree. Tidy.
Claustrophobic ambient sounds, evocative guitars and reflective drums accompany us into this incredible journey.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor's influence is evident. And let it be, it's a good thing.
The 25:54 seconds of the single track testify that it's a post rock opera, with four movements, prelude, explosion, syncopate drums and voices from distant phones.
Excellent.
