Outstanding album, fantastic sounds, that come alive with the vocals, such beauty and amazing, ambient,enchanting, flow and feel to these tracks.

My favourite band so far for 2009!!!

In Love With This Album!

So, I just heard of The Kyoto Connection last night, when I was looking for Creative Commons music to use in a short documentary that I am working on... and I stumbled upon The Kyoto Connection, because I was looking for Asian and Asian-inspired music...

While the sounds of The Kyoto Connection don't work for my documentary, they sure work for me! I am completely taken over by their sound and style. I love every album, including this one!

I was introduced to this particular album when I went to the band's website. They have the entire album streaming on their homepage, and listened to the whole thing, and never felt compelled to close the browser tab! The album is so refreshing, and the female vocals are so beautiful. I can safely say that I like every song, but my favorite is definitely "The Prisoner." I love it so much, I keep repeating it!

The cover of this album is also amazing. It's beautiful, and subtle, yet eye-catching.

I can't wait for another release by The Kyoto Connection!~

A little less mystical than the first one, but, still oriental oriented.

The characteristics that shined on the first album, are still here,but, the proportions in relation with it are somehow different. The oriental sonorities are here too, but somewhat more diluted or less incisive. The overall sonority is somewhat "harder" that the one in the first album and there's a little more primacy of the vocals, which are very good.

A very homogeneous album in terms of quality. A must have.

There are a lot of artist on here, and a lot of music, both good & bad. This band is one of the ones that top's my playlist every time!

I appreciate all the folks that place their music on here for us to enjoy, and there are a lot of good ones...

But The Kyoto Connection is one of the few that has created a truly unique sound among all the others. Selecting a favorite song from their two releases is near impossible, because they are all quality songs.

The use of Live Drums & Instruments with Sequinces & live vocals is not new, but they way the arrangemtas are done create a seemless unit that makes each song a pleasent listen, and is diverse enough for repeat listening.

These folks are a must download!
