'Night by WB'(I am giving an opinion based strictly on the music NOT the poetry it represents), is a Contemporary-Neo- Classically influenced instrumental single.
Violin and Viola start the track with a slow, solemn even dirge-like intro. Gradually a single snare drum and cymbal join the orchestration but the mournful rhythm never abates.
Abruptly(approximately midway) all manner of percussion sounds: crackles, booms, bangs, thunder effect and unknown audio phenomena erupt. The violin which started is present at all times and is not overwhelmed by the percussion and other even stranger "noises" that take over from percussion as the track begins to conclude.
Musically, in my opinion, the vibe is rather like watching winds shake barren, skeletal trees on a cold, gray day and despite this rather grim description the song is more peaceful than upsetting or disturbing.
It is not going to be everyone's cup of tea but it's still interesting and deserves a place in the music libraries of the open minded.
