After listening to the Mastaroth album "Katharsis", I must say I am very impressed. These folks are reaching for the SCI-FI sounds of the "Future is Now".
I love the guitar riffs and the ominous tonal quality to the mood of every song. Great fusion of IDM style BeatTek and fluid time changes. Some tracks are so Dance Phat that certain DJ friends of mine here in San Francisco have told me they must be included in their mix rotation.
I hear just about everything I love in this band. Jazz ethos, Metal, Electronica, Industrial mayhems, and D'n'B craziness. Makes me scratch my head as I go to my Reaktor software and scratch out some more Beats. I only hope the ghosts in the machine will grace me with as much creativity as these guys. I love the fusion of Metal/Grind with ElektroTek. True Sci-Fi musick.

Tracks that stick out:

Fuzyo
Pentegram

I can tell Mastaroth has put a lot of effort into producing an original work of Electronic Art. I love the confluence of various styles as they meander; while the Beats are Hard, bringing it all together. I detect Jazzy influences alongside Metal, Doom, ambience, and intepretive Breaks. Quite inspiring. I'm always looking for Sci-Fi, MetaPunktechcore, Evil Breaks, and Doom soothing ambient electronica. This one definitely is on my "preferred" shelf of Jamendo Pics....Well fucking done.....
