you asked for it on the forum.... this is no grunge, this is not alternative. The music is very simple, no surprises, a highschoolprogram for starting musicians. Your enthusiasm is great, but i'm afraid you have to practice a lot and come up with something special. The singers voice is too neat, speaks a bit comic english and needs to scream her lungs out. The last track is a bit coming to the right direction, better built and varied and energetic. At last i find it disrespectful to use the album title from what i consider being one of the best albums ever made: Rock Bottom from Robert Wyatt. That is the bottom...

Like the sound! The Singer is good too! She could use a little more depth and oomf to her voice but her voice is great! Like a previous reviewer said it could use a little more mastering but, you've definitely got the basics down, great instruments and playing ability, and great singing. So it just needs a little polish in post-production. No biggie. The last 5 albums I listened to when I typed in "rock" into search, were 12 year old german and french kids screaming over a horribly cheap electric piano with a horribly cheap microphone. So, I can definitely say this is the best I've heard so far today! :P

When listening to bands most people have never heard of, high expectations are not common. So when you hear sound you have never heard and it makes you want to dance, you know you found a good band. Big Delusions has settling lyrics with great distortion, their sound reminds me a lot of the Strokes, great band i would recommend for any Indie rocker!

The band is tight, vocals are on, good songs. For a debut ep, this shows a lot of promise. Pop rock with good energy and some novelty. Enjoyable.

A little better production and I could have rated this higher. Nothing really bad in the mixing/mastering, but it could use a bit more transparency and edge in the mastering.

The energy is there, the talent is there, the ideas are there.. It just needs a bit more pizazz and for the dynamics the band is playing/singing to be spotlighted a little better. I would guess that so far this band has focussed more on live performance and songwriting than on recording.

But for a first ep? This is quite good! They don't sound like anybody but themselves, and they're finding some good sounds. I'm giving it a 9, but with a bit better production that could have easily been a 10. I like this.
