Fresh Poulp continue son exploration musicale de l'Orient avec sa nouvelle sortie « 1000 Sounds Lotus » de The Orientalist. Album sortit en production l'année dernière que le poulpe a décidé de remettre au goût du jour.
Condensé de fantasmes musicaux provenant d'un inconscient hanté de tablas, de grooves hip-hop, de dérives drum'n'bass, de riddims aérés, de sine bass ou encore de derbouka. 1000 Sound Lotus est synonyme d'invitation au voyage. Maghreb, Asie du Sud Est et Moyen Orient sont présent tout au long de l'album, 10 titres, 10 billets aller sans retours.
Great transitions, nice samplesand overall very talented at making it all come together. I like this album alot.
An extremely powerful album, which manages to be political without words, by calling attention to another culture within the context of a musical style born in the West.
Don't know what else to add. Love it!
Diverse sounds, awesome compositions. The album is, in short, refreshing.
My favorite track happens to be Zanzibar Dub.
