Straightforward rock that hits hard for the most part, with a suitably rough edge. Conceptually, we are collectively silent. Enduring the pain of our various existences without standing up and fighting. This is, in a way, maybe the lift you need to alleviate that sense of suffering. If it is that's great! First track is a nice mix, with plenty of variation on the theme. The second track has more focus, which is easier with a shorter track length, and again I see the title as metaphorical. Being alone in the dark, I see as 'individualism' taken to its furthest extent to the point of isolation and being in the dark as not knowing the reality of your situation. That I personally blame on the obsfuscating, and overwhelming availability of information that besets our senses, usually meaning they turn off to avoid overload. Good rock sounds.
