Grace is like a summer camp, full of inspiring work and great music, to lift our spirits, and make us feel good, all the time. Just like this masterpiece of another album.

While it is difficult for me to choose a best out of Valhalla's four albums, I am happy to say that her newest and fourth album does not disappoint at all. As it is her first few albums that have drawn me to her work, it would be impossible for me to negatively critique those albums in comparison to this one. However, the sound of summerCamp does seem a little more "matured" and more professional as opposed to her previous work.

With that said, the new album is great. The general sound is fairly uplifting, fairly "sunny" and warm sounding, hence a very appropriate title to the album. The songs are a pleasure to listen to and the flow is very graceful.

With her first three albums, I was able to select at least several songs that I would listen to repeatedly. This is no different with the new album with songs such as "Roselyn", "summerCamp", "dreamCatchers", "Sandy", "sunDogs", and the final "The Garden of Birds and Waters" standing out on top.

Good stuff.

I've been waiting for this even before I knew what it was, and I have not been let down!

As the name might suggest, this album is a lot more summer-y than previous albums, there is a bit of a difference in sound but the hallmarks are still there. The surprise this time has got to be the use of vocal samples. i feel it gives a new dimension to the 'Grace Valhalla sound' and it's one that I think has been very tastefully explored.

As Borat Sagdiyev would say "Great success!" I will be listening to this album all summer!

Absolutely your best work yet!!! I was wondering how you would top an album as excellent as wire and here you've done it. Of course, this shouldn't come as a surprise given your reputation of releasing total works of art. It's once again evident why your music has served as such an inspiration for my own these last few years. I'm very grateful to be able to add summerCamp to my collection, and like your others, it will definitely get a lot of plays!
