What is hip?

Great sound! Even from the starting chords of the opener "Liberty", it becomes clear that this is well above the "Jamendo standard".

However, I fail to appreciate the tunes as such - as tunes you'd listen to in any context. Much to dense and upfront for laidback background easy-listening, yet too boring with regard to melody and arrangement to actually create enjoyable and catchy tunes...
