Album description

A few words in English :

This is the third music album of Glandul Convention. We recorded it in a limited time (four evenings) during the last week of august 2008. We will soon put on Jamendo our previous albums and we are currently working on our fourth album. It should be ready early next year.

In this album our garage rock band is mixing multiple musical infulences such as heavy metal, blues and rock'n roll. The result is a greasy cocktail with a diesel aroma.

Is it an engine, a panzer or a tractor? Listen to our music and tell us what you think about it.

(Please write us a short review and don't forget to rate our album)

PS : Sorry, most of the songs are in French.

This kicks the shit out of my ears.

We need more raw punk like this, noisy and uncompromising. Awesome album cover also.

I produce my best work, as in writing sometimes, when I throw caution to the wind and let my fingers do the walking, hoping they connect with my head and heart, let alone soul. The first track is reminiscent of the sort of music I use to play in my own garage, punk, prog-rock band called Demon Jive (Jive being then my nickname). We did a great take of Hawkwind's 'Silver Machine'.

The sense of energy and force in places, takes me back years (and that's quite a few) and a change from my usual targets, it was great fun for me then and it seems that that is still a possibility, even if only hearing someone else's energetic creative expression. Obviously, being typically English I don't understand most of the lyrical content, so will judge it instrumentally and try to capture its essence. And, having said that it all sounds like good fun, so I'll go for the tractor. After all, Lamborghini began by making tractors and look what they turn out now, and I have a distinct hatred of war machinery.

Overall, a consistent energy has been expended here and like I said, the style is one I have appreciated in the past, so it's not my usual listen at the moment. However, I enjoyed the change, just wish I understood French well enough to appreciate it more.

Good, dynamic rock, with a serrated edge of realism, which makes it appealing.

Hey! This is hard rock, maybe punkrock, mostly heavy.

But this is NOT ALTERNATIVE, NEITHER FUSION, NOR FUNK!!!

It's quite annoying when I'd like to listen to some funky fusion, and I find myself listening to HARD ROCK!

This music may be good for hard rock, but this is crap as fusion of funk!
