Not bad

Finished listening to this album I had mixed feelings about what I just heard...
It was kind of okay, but not more than this, I wasn't blown away.
It had some good moments here and there but overall the performance is quite sloppy and I couldn't find a jot of soul in all this, it's just too much made out-of-head.
But, the quartet knows how to play, so give it a listen.

Louvai o Deus do Jazz ...These boys are bloody good...right up there with my jazz heroes Art Blakey and Ayetoro.Irrepressible rhythmic layers of smooth Saxsational jazz simply oozing soul, an invigorating ice-cool/sun-hot fiesta of delicate
majestic vibes. A wonderful flaw free gem !!!

Better Than Good ........By Far

My kind of free wheeling jazz.

My general impression; I felt like I was in a smokey jazz dive.....sweet-talking a fish-eyed fluzzy and downing my umpteenth shot of gut-whiskey.

"L'agonie de l'inspecteur," was my favorite tune from the album, followed by "La note en cage."

Over-all, the album was, "SWEET!"

I'd love to relax & unwind to a live performance of this album-the musicians are very talented & the tunes-tight.

My only suggestion, re-do the album cover to reflect the music better (a jazz dive-low lights, smoke, dicey characters, bar jockeys, etc.)
