Poème symphonique

Cette pièce musicale est dédiée à mon grand père George Cœdès – (Wikipédia), archéologue et épigraphiste spécialisé dans les langues extrême-orientales, et particulièrement le sanskrit et le khmer ancien.

Il dira que ses treize années de séjour au Siam furent les plus heureuses de sa vie (1916-1929).

Ce poème symphonique tente d’évoquer sa vie, son travail, ses découvertes, ses sensations lors de ce séjour.

Grand amateur de la musique de J.S. Bach, je l’ai toujours vu partir au concert avec sa partition sous le bras.

I love family memorabilia . . .
and a musical dedication to a grandfather, as interesting as PM's, is a wonderful way to go. . . . I think George would be very proud of his grandson.

This music was a journey through a life . . . with the joys and expectations of beginnings and roots, and then following the travels to distant and exotic lands . . with new friendships, experiences and discoveries to enhance a life, including both the mysterious and the mundane . ..

Although the listener could listen to this extraordinary piece as a whole, an interlude in a daily life and as merely a good listen . . it was nice to hear as a tale told by the grandson . . . of a time long gone, and it brought a way to share the heart felt love for this grandparent who lived in that distant time and place . . .this man who carried something back to give to the proceeding generations . . . a gift of knowledge, a sense of adventure and a love of the unique . . .

The music shares this exceptionally well . . . Thank You PM for sharing your music with us . ..

I like, well, subtlety - Suptile rhytm throbing, developing through 22 minutes, bells, suptile "random" sounds. And loong suptile feeling av faraway land, walking through moist air and alike.

This is sweet and mellow effect and interesting sounding track. Love the birds at the beginning, and the gentle effect that flows through this music,a real nice touch about it.
