"Surf and Roll"

Voici le second album de "Glandul Convention" appelé "Surf and Roll". Il fut enregistré durant le mois d'aout 2007 mais la version qui est plubliée sur Jamendo a été remixée et en partie réenregistée. (N'oubliez pas d'écouter celui de l'été 2008 "Glandul Convention")

La musique de "Surf & Roll" est particulièrement "heavy" et s'inspire de AC/DC, voire de "Judas-Priest". Une batterie bien pesante, doublée d'une basse discrète assurent derrière le mur des guitares (Pierem au rythme, Tristan aux riffs, et Adrien au lead).

Les textes restent dans la tradition de "Glandul" & co. Une satire politique et sociale du monde universel et homogénéisé.

J'espère que "Surf and Roll" vous plaira.

A few words in English ?

This is the second album of Glandul Convention. We made it during the summer 2007. It was recorded with very limited material. We had loads of fun making it. Do not expect any standard music and be prepared. Anyway you might miss the best of it if not speaking French, the lyrics. (do not forget to listen to our more recent album recorded during the summer 2008 "Glandul Convention")

A Real Good Attempt To Be Great.... but below average....due to.....

I know my title sounds bad above, and I don't mean to be nasty...but I want to help you hopefully if you don't take this the wrong way..

1. The instruments sound like they are not playing together as a band, (insync basically I mean) like drums playing his version of track, and the guitarist his own verison of the same track and everyone else, their own version of the same track. And it's just a noise to the listener. Like one track with 3 different versions playing at same time.

2. The lead vocals are not strong enough sounding, need someone who has stronger vocals to carry the music off.

3.YOU CAN ALL PLAY YOUR INSTRUMENTS SO DON'T GET ME WRONG. JUST START PLAYING TOGETHER. AS ONE BAND. NOT 3 BANDS, PLAYING ONE TRACK.

4. GET BETTER VOICE FOR VOCALS. OR LEARN TO BE STRONGER AND LESS SOPPY SOUNDING ON VOCALS.

5. The music is good, the tracks sound good, just those above should help you loads...

6. The vocals you have, don't suit the tracks you have or music, simple as that.
