Hope Of Dream

The idea of Cosmos Dream emerges from one of my friends' proposition : put on internet some of my music pieces I have done in parallel with my band. So, I decided to follow his advice but I did not want to make a sort of medley. That's why I have taken the decision to developp a main theme and then use what I have already done before.

From the very beginning I wished to musicaly explore a world dominated by a totalitarian regime. I have read Georges Orwell's "1984" and I chose to base that totalitarian regime idea on his world. But I decided soon that this universe would be even more a backdrop to feed a new theme : hope. Can hope last in a world which is, as we can see, deprived of it ?

L'idée de Cosmos Dream émane d'une proposition d'un de mes amis : mettre sur internet les morceaux de musique que je faisais en parallèle de mon groupe. J'ai donc décidé de suivre son conseil, mais je ne souhaitais pas faire une sorte de pot-pourri. C'est pourquoi j'ai pris la décision de développer un thème central et puis d'utiliser ce que j'avais déjà fait musicalement.

Dès le début, je souhaitai explorer musicalement un monde dominé par un régime totalitaire. J'ai lu 1984 de Georges Orwell. Mais je décidai très tôt que cet univers serait plus une toile de fond pour servir un thème : celui de l'espoir. L'espoir peut-il perdurer dans un monde qui en est a priori dénué ?
