sombre, hypnotique, tendue,
concoctée, comme de juste, Gywoniquement
Dreadd, jamais en reste,
reste tapi dans l'ombre,
mais toujours présents
pour poser pièges
et autres chausses-trappes....

I liked "top_miaou" especially when I first listened and looked around for my cat whom I thought was talking to me. I think my favorite was "Himes" for some reason. Maybe because of the tongue and finger clicking, which was interesting. I ended up listening to this album six times through to try to analyze its emotional appeal to me and the style or genre of the pieces.

All these songs were on the quiet side and sometimes resided on the 'very strange table of oddities.' I don't think it was the language for me (which again I cannot interpret unless written), but it was the interesting little sounds that would crop up, as if the artist wanted to give you an intimate feel - no - I think its the female voice itself which was being used as an unusual and exotic instrument. The singer will make strange utterances which flows well with the music and captures the interest of the listener and expands on the values and design of the individual songs.

This whole style of song is unique to me and I really couldn't quite peg it except to say it is exotic flavored in a very unique way and a little on the dark side. I felt as if there were two entities in the room - this female singer humming, making happy childlike sounds, or a type of ululation, mutterings, echoings, singing, clicking, whatever she wants and the music being the whole other entity. It was hard for my mind to combine the two and make meaning out of the whole. It was actually quite pleasant in a strange way and forced me to think. I would have to say that this isn't relaxing music but rather a type of experimental stuff which forces the participation of the listener. Not a bad idea.

A nice balanced production. I don't understand a word of it but the feel of the music is good and nicely balanced. The instrumentation is exquisite in places. Nice album.
