Album description

Because is an album of slow tempo, piano, bass and drum free improvisations. Recorded in December 2008. All the piano, bass and drum sounds in the trio are played on a keyboard using Reason 3.0 music software program. The parts are improvised and recorded into the computer one track at a time. The music is inspired by slow jazz ballads and the piano trios of Keith Jarret and Bill Evans, as well as many others.

I'm a huge piano and jazz fan, but for some reason these songs just don't appeal to me that much. I can't exactly put my finger on it.

Beautiful "Because" has some sweet piano, nice drums, and a magnificent beat. Given that this album was entirely played on the keyboard it is quite impressive and does have a live sound to it. This musician, Buz Hendricks, has just the right touch when composing his music. Very well done.
