lovely! welcome back Pan:core

a new style, some blissful work.

Nice picture, I like trees. They lend themselves to a picture of a human journey very well. There is the overground expansion of their growth, for all to see (and enjoy), and then the underground (subconscious) journey of their growth. The latter tends to be a lot deeper and searching for a different element (air/water vs. water). Enough of that, down to the music. The first track is quite a beautiful concoction. The journey begins well, and as it says, The First Miles Are Still Easy. True indeed and nicely done, I like the atmosphere and dynamism, though pan:core's work always has a positive energy to it. Then, the fog descends and obfuscates, as we humans are wont to make our lives. I have been accused of it, but explained that I wasn't, they just didn't understand me.

Getting Tired On Wide Lands is brilliant music making. Again, still optimistic and energetic, despite the depleted energy. The following track takes us into another level of existence extremely well. Great control of technology and creativity. The Crystal Cave was a very busy place about twenty years ago, full of meditating people trying to soothe their nerves, if I remember rightly. I tried it once, but find this track more interesting. Meanwhile... while they were busy altering their states of consciousness, I shed my inhibitions and began cycling all over the place, very much living in the real world. Like the track, I found a place within me of peace, by looking outside. Strange how these things work!

And While Our Sleepy Heroes Wake Up, is a bright and open piece of musical magic. The sleeping knights in the hollow hills? Alan Garner for one I think made use of this myth. The next track, is immensely likeable. Goes too quickly for me, but then that's getting lost for you. One minute you are there, the next... Or Not ?! finishes off this brilliant little musical excursion. All too brief, but some say sweet things come in small packages. Thanks for sharing.
