“Voix” contains seven new compositions Pete Dragotta co-wrote with eight vocalists. From his 1996 debut album “Pop’s English” performing under the band name Pharmacopia to his 2007 album “Holistic Audio”; the music Pete Dragotta composes under the name Pharmacopia is well known for the melding of sound textures, musical styles and of course Pete Dragotta’s personal trumpet playing.
The start of Pharmacopia’s next decade takes a new direction with “Voix” collaborating with seven vocalists.
Pete has worked with vocalists in the past on Pharmacopia’s previous releases, but not on an entire album; in “Voix”, Pete collaborated with vocalist who posted their accapella tracks on ccmixter.org.
