Living It All Wrong (Pure/Mercury) was released in 1996. It is Brooklyn pianist/songwriter Lee Feldman's first album. Stark, spare and beautifully recorded, this album has a timeless quality. The songs are indelible and succinct, performed by a piano, bass and drums trio supplemented at times by string quartet, clarinet, and percussion. The critical acclaim garnered from this album secured Feldman a recording contract with Mercury Records, for whom he recorded his second album, The Man in a Jupiter Hat (Bonafide/Mercury).
