Thalyla is one of my favourite artists on this site, however, I am spreading myself a bit too thinly to pay good attention to good detail. I am afraid I refuse to accept Down With Me. Musically, it's a nice intro, realistically, we need to talk maybe more?
I believe I can empathise. Tecadance is quite sombre in mood and downright dark in other places, I sense a feeling of imbalance in temperament. Some might say that's part of the creative cross to bear. Others don't care. If it makes a difference, I do.
Multiply of Multiply is where I borrow Foucault's 'heterotopia', defined as the complexity of existence that can surround a person like the aura almost. Subtle but very powerful. Like the track. Nicely diversified in expression with the usual expertise of musical manipulation. Thalyla manages to capture some strong, potentially dangerous, states of being. Teetering on the brink can only be sustained for so long, before the void draws you in. Ypothonic Industry, sounds like something from a neo-Necronomicon. What on earth is being constructed with such archaic industry? Sounds quite scarey, but nice all the same, with some beautiful sounds going down.
Ybris Supponentia again conjures up some strange magic going on, with a fantastic soundtrack to it. The metaphysician of cyberspace. Am I only virtually ill, if everything is comparatively subjective? Flaming Keeper, for me, refers to the flickering flame within that maintains the existence of a lot of people. I am a fire sign, with wood elements mixed in. This makes me self-sustainable, unless my fire is doused by too much water. So, heavy water signs tend to suppress my innate enthusiasm for living. Quite literally. Give it some thought, it's a framework if nothing else.
Very Bad Me Not, is hitting the nail on the head and missing at the same time. It is the apposite of the opposite. I'm OK, you're OK. It's the road less travelled. It's time for the truth of baring your conscious and obfuscating, like being afraid of declaring yourself is good is a bad thing. Does not compute. Closer Closed, almost describes how I relate to some people and it is for me I suspect, based on a fear of loss of something you end up losing because you are worrying about it, the self-fulfilling prophecy.
Finally, as an end to this brilliant album, Little Lie. There's your 1% minimum of chaos that needs to be assimilated to achieve equilibrium. Assimilate and incorporate the chance that none of us are perfect and you can look harder at yourself in the mirror and feel happy, not with the way you look, but by the way you look back. It's a parallel world, created simply to reflect upon ourselves. Thanks for sharing. Top album.
