Album description
Bill and I recorded this album of 11 songs back in 1997. Here I include only 8 of the tracks. I remember that in those days I had an old Fender Rhodes Mark II electric piano with Yamaha Synthesizer and a Roland drum machine. We got together in my room where I recorded Bill playing the flute and I on the piano and other gadgets using a 4 track real to real that was on its way out and a couple of cassette tape recorders. Needless to say that the recording come out muddy and not up to the clear digital sound of today.
Nevertheless in these wonderful tracks there are intense emotons and beautiful solos from both Bill and I. I wrote the songs some in the mid 80sand some in the late 90s. Bill came up with his own spontaneous solos that add much to the songs. Moral of the story is that yes the sound quality is not the best and both the piano and the flute may be slightly out of tune in some parts but the trade off is that there are magic moments in these tracks. It is rare that two musicians learn how to communicate using music as a language. BIll and I did just this.
