Great album! I like the sound - unusual at first, yet makes for a very good listening. This is one of my favourite Jamendo albums so far.

Had I listened to the Very Sexuals six years ago, I wouldn't have hesitated to call this a great achievement. Unfortunately, in the meantime, bands like Of Montreal, the Decemberists and - most of all - We're From Barcelona have saturated the airwaves with their acoustic walls of sound/jingle-jangle merry-go-rounds etc. With its ominous, almost disquieting gloominess, "Promise the sky won't fall on us" marks a departure from this "all together now" sound, and comes out as the real standout. Thumbs up... Europop - as the saying goes - 's not dead.

Clever, catchy tunes, nice production and well worth the time spent listening to this little collection of pop gems. Well done The Very Sexuals. pity about the name, tho :-)
