Magnetism is just irresistable, the attraction is instant. Simple and effective, the way it is meant to be. Let the waves flow and form their force fields and polarities. Singular Drive captures the essence of that energy movement, the spirit moving through all things and perceived by us mere mortals in our struggle to quantify everything around us. We have been trying for thousands of years and although we assume we progress and get nearer, it forever eludes our grasp. Why doesn't that tell us something special about what it is we try to encapsulate? The singular drive to survive is all it is. If we found the secret and couldn't profit from it, literally in some senses, we would devolve, when we are already in the process of detraditionalisation in our postmodern world-view. Blame technology from a neo-Luddite!-) And yet that's the same technology that drives me to attempt a review of this EP. The third track, reminds me of a dream I recently had. Though Birds of Prey could be metaphorical. Difficult to see a cogent theme amid these few tracks. I can connect the first two, but the last track throws the proverbial spanner into the workings of my grey matter. All in all, as electronic music goes, I love the style and love this EP. Nice work Formika, thanks for sharing.
