Very nice atmospherics starting with Grunewald. Then we are in the electronic arena with 'mics', good sounds and interesting structure. Selector is exquisite, lovely laid back electronica that develops well. Then, the fine crystalline structure of Universal Snowflake alights onto the palm of your hand and slowly melts into your being beautifully. Whenrichielaughs he chuckles in your ears merrily and lights up your eyes with his mirth. Quite a sharp humour at times, though you cannot help but like its effect on your soul.
Snowdub is a lovely track with some good effects put into play, quite minimalist and a cool experiment. Next, meetmetwice, when once is good enough, twice doubles the pleasure of listening to this excellent piece of musical construction. Herzklappe opens all the valves and releases its darkish ambience, again quite simple in structure but nicely effective. Then, The Beginning, has a certain ring to it, a sense of familiarity, with a wonderfully off-kilter percussion from the timpanist layer, held together tightly by the rest of the tracks structural soundness.
If I had a hang, I'd hang it in the morning, I'd hang it in the evening, all over this land. And clap my hand silently in a mute applause of appreciation. Very subtle, with an interesting background. Then, you find yourself 10cm über dem boden, suspended in animation, a slightly displaced out of body experience. Brilliant piece of electronic experimentalism, full of little surprises. Then, you are off straight In the Stars, soaring higher than the previous decimetre. Resoundingly good stuff all round and an excellent album, that literally electrifies. Full marks for bravery!-)
