pop rock folk acoustic lyrical

Album description

"Only Whispering" is my third CD, and the first to take my eclectic muddle of styles and focus them into a coherent album. This album is my most acoustic-sounding, with a storytelling focus. If you're new to my music, check out "I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine", "Sugar on My Tongue" and "Goodbye to Spring".

Stand back and take a bow! Josh has released a collection of songs worthy of any indie or mainstream artist. Classy! Tune after tune fulfils its promise. Great sound production and fine fine songs that will stand the test of time.

I've been a fan of Josh Woodward since a friend of mine from Findlay OH first played his music for me. I have every one of his albums, and this is the TOPS in my opinion. Listened to it 3 times in the past 24 hours. Its a tribute to lyricism, and musical initiative, one of my favorite albums ever.

Favorite Songs:
I cant choose I love them all.

Josh Woodward has so much incredible talent. He has a marvelous voice, a sweetly talking guitar, a sense of humor, and he writes some very expressive lyrics. I love the poetry (some in protest) on this album, in particular, "To Lose the War." I really liked the melodies of "Fool's Gold" and "Fit For a King." Josh sings from the heart and tells the tales of this world in a strong voice using some excellent poetry.

I first encountered Josh Woodward's music a few months ago, when it was featured on Audiosurf Radio. I was amazed!! Each song is crafted incredibly, both musically and lyrically, and the concepts range from heartbreak ("I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine") to the inherent problems with the way we're living, and what it does to us ("To Lose the War"). I was floored by nearly every song on the album... more than I can say for almost any album I've ever heard!

If you're into acoustic music at all, you should definitely give this a listen.

One of my favorite indie artists ever.

This is great stuff. Very easy to listen to with interesting lyrics (something that is completely missing from a lot of music these days). I've been listening to this album quite a bit recently. Will probably give the artist a donation when I have the extra money.
