Album description

"Only Whispering" is my third CD, and the first to take my eclectic muddle of styles and focus them into a coherent album. This album is my most acoustic-sounding, with a storytelling focus. If you're new to my music, check out "I'll Be Right Behind You, Josephine", "Sugar on My Tongue" and "Goodbye to Spring".

Stand back and take a bow! Josh has released a collection of songs worthy of any indie or mainstream artist. Classy! Tune after tune fulfils its promise. Great sound production and fine fine songs that will stand the test of time.

I've been a fan of Josh Woodward since a friend of mine from Findlay OH first played his music for me. I have every one of his albums, and this is the TOPS in my opinion. Listened to it 3 times in the past 24 hours. Its a tribute to lyricism, and musical initiative, one of my favorite albums ever.

Favorite Songs:
I cant choose I love them all.

All of Josh's albums are great and this one is no exception. His quirky arrangements and vocal style seal it for me. And, Josephine, wow what a great song. You always know a good song when you cant get it out of your head. Well done on this and all of your other albums.

This reminds me of Iron & Wine. Very good music, I want to hear more!

If you're looking for an artist who isn't AT ALL afraid to tell you what he thinks and what's in his heart, look no further.

Some of the really strong points of this album are its intensity, its simplicity (the guitar and vocals are king), and how each song can push you into his world. I love it!

It's really difficult to pick a favorite, all of these are very inspiring. The one that stands out most is "Adventures of the Deaf Dreamer". What a concept! For simple listening value, "Cardinal Brigade" probably hits the spot. Regardless, listen to all 12 tracks, you're bound to find something you like.

Keep up the good work, Josh! You're going a long way!

An unusual mixture vocals and writing. Creativity runs deep in the lyrics that provide a very original view of life.

I love you.

It was a genius programming move to put "Losing the War" next to "Postcard from Hell." The former is about the economy, and just how many people are suffering in America. The latter is just how horrible war is getting. It's genius because the people at home and the people in Iraq are just as miserable in different ways.
