Wow, Turbo-Klezmer. Look it up under 'Full tilt.'
Probably best enjoyed live somewhere dark and sweaty with a liquor license. Tell at least two people about this!!!

A brilliant, feel and vibe to this amazing, jazzy, adventures album with fantastic, Yiddish sounding, vocals singing to this interesting, eastern influences with an urban feel to it as well. I loved it, a great diversity and style to this album.

This is some really good music. It's got an exotic, adventurous feel, combining Eastern influences with great jazz. It's a great shame we don't hear more of these influences in the UK- there's a lot of people here of Turkish, Polish and former Yugoslavian descent, and the wonderful cultural crossover of Eastern Europe, Western Europe and Arabia is something most people don't get to find out about- including myself - I think a relic from the former communist "iron curtain days". Anyway a great listen!

Balkanbräz brings nice brass music/klezmer to Jamendo. The album from Berlin is well made. Several tracks are instrumental. The singer sings in german/(fake)yiddish, the lyrics are ironical and full of weltschmerz and fun. The main instrument is often a clarinet. Sounds and dub elements build an urban sound. Who ever expects fast brass tracks will also find several more intimate pieces in oriental style. - Recommended to try out!
