Blues at home nasce a Milano nel 2008 nel giorno della Festa del 1 Maggio. Mentre nelle piazze delle grandi città d’Italia infuocavano i concerti in omaggio ai lavoratori di tutti il mondo, io me ne stavo solo a casa, col blues dentro, e con un piccolo registratore digitale con cui ho inciso tutti i brani improvvisando su basi e assoli.

I brani, tutti strumentali, descrivono in blue note la mia vita sui treni senza sosta, da una città all’altra, sempre in attesa di tornare a casa, a sud. I dialoghi col mio cane, con mia madre, con l’infelice donna amata, sono una musica che deve essere espressa, liberata, consolata.

Blues at home in Milan was born in 2008 on the day of the Feast of May 1. While in the squares of the great cities of Italy fiery concert in tribute to the workers all over the world, I was just me at home, with blues inside me, and with a small digital recorder, I recorded all the songs and improvising on the basis and solos. The tracks are all instrumental, blue notes describe my life on trains relentlessly, from one city to another, always waiting to go home, to the South. The dialogues with my dog, with my mother, with the unfortunate woman loved, is a music that must be expressed, released, consoled.

Great Home Blues

I can't really pick anything out of this album that stands out. There is also nothing new. The sound quality is not great. However, if you are a blues fan, all of this is irrelevant. The music is all and only blues. Blues played to its best. The artist has a feel, style and skill that delivers the music at its best straight to the ears of listener. This is even more impressive when you notice that the only instrument used are guitars with a harmonica thrown in now and then.

You really do have to be a blues fan to enjoy this album. You also have to ignore the low tech and sometimes awful sound quality. When you do this, you will notice above all the quality of the music which is very high.

Great blues which was obviously recorded at home.
