"Frozen Flowers" has turned out quite a bit better than "Whispers of the Old World." This album has much better sound quality and doesn't disappoint, especially to fans of Celtic/Metal. The female voice is great and the instruments are astonishingly good. I love the Celtic strings and guitar highlights.

One of my favorites, "The White Deer" had a lovely melody, drums, and outstanding singing. I think it must be difficult and exhausting to sing in this manner as the Celtic style singer needs to keep up with the tempo, and project her soprano voice over the energetic guitars, strings, and drums. I thought that "Metal Jig" was a good showcase for the Celtic/Metal fusion and it sure made me want to break out into a jig. I loved the overall production of "Dawn of God" which was outstandingly awesome to listen to and where strings, guitar riffs, singer and all shined brightly like the sun.

WOW!

Ah, Fenrir's much anticipated second album. And as I'd hoped, the sound quality is *much* improved!

Hauntingly beautiful vocals with evocative lyrics, excellent interplay of the instrumental lines, and overall a stellar performance. Very good composition, and some very distinctive melodic lines and textures.

Some of the ideas developed at certain moments of many of the songs are novel and brilliant. I'm writing this review on only my second listen through the album and already I'm finding I have some favourite moments. Very impressive.

Fenrir is obviously a band with a great love for their music, who delight in playing and singing together, and this comes across even more strongly on this album. I give it a 10.

Actually, I thought this is just yet-another-Nightwish-clone (especially after listening to The Wanderer). Not really, this is AWESOME! I love both the hard riffs and the melodic vocals and celtic parts. However, my favourite one is instrumental, I mean the Metal Jig, though I can't tell why exactly.

Maybe it's not the perfect album (yet), maybe it features reminiscences that make you think of bands you've already heard before (it's rather hard these days making up something _completely_ anew, isn't it?), and yet - it's quite good. In a time in which, talking about female fronted metal bands, the chances of stumbling across yet _another_ half-baked Nightwish clone are rather good, Fenrir manages to be as original and inspired as somewhat possible, at the very best reminding me of Cruachan than of Nightwish or even Evanescence. Quality of this album ist astoundingly high both talking about instrumental / vocal capabilities of the musicians involved and talking about recording and production of these tracks. Cover artwork is so-so, which, then again, doesn't hurt this rather good album which, after listening to it a couple of times, definitely found its place in my music collection. Well done, hoping for more.

Its great to hear, this ladies voice on this evanescence like album. Her voice is sweet, sharp and strong, let alone bewitching to my ears. And I sit, and held on every single words she sings about. And the music, is arousing, passionate and heartfelt, let alone proud, loud and commanding control and respect as it plays. I love the energy and the vibe felt from all. The thrashing electric guitars, the solos and the riffs heard. The steady, hypnotic fast drum beats. Just everything is done to a high standard and flows to perfection. And a nice touch with the violin heard played that teases and pleases you on hearing it..Every single moment. I truly loved and enjoyed to the max..

Fenrir more than lived up to the promised that I had hoped it would with their first album.

This is SOOOO going into my podcast! It is so difficult to find QUALITY celtic metal.

Thank you so much for pushing through the second album and putting a big smile on my face.

I was looking for something with melodic in the vocals, but with some "push" on the riffs, this was extremely close to what I wanted. Sounds sort of similar to some other artist (THIS IS NOT BAD, it shows that Fenrir can easily compete in the genre of Celtic influenced Metal). Vocals are great and instruments are good too. Tracks I personally liked the most "The Wanderer" and "Dawn of God". Enjoyable, worth a listen.
