Album description

This album starts with recent works and finishes with early works, some of them are even from the past millenium.

Credits:

Clouds Fly As I Smile - guitar and inspiration by the Jamendo artist Matti Paalanen from the album Hollow

Chandra Loka - bass solo from the album Petals On Your Path by Night Ark

Fragments - native american flute from the album Spirit Flutes by David R. Maracle

Wind In My Hands - Vocals by Yungchen Lhamo, album Tibet, Tibet

Shanti - Shanti Mantra from the album Chants of India by Ravi Shankar; bansuri by Hariprasad Chaurasia

Samsara - violins from Hana-Bi OST by Joe Hisaishi

Audio quality of the music offered on Jamendo in best case reaches 190 kbps, which is quite reasonable for evaluational purposes but definitely not enough to experience the richness of original sound (1411 kbps). If you'd like to feel how this music sounds for real you can obtain a lossless FLAC version of this album on my website.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I found SaReGaMa 4D reality on search for psychedelic. trip hop, world music, melodic, chill without being derivative or trite are all words and feelings that come to mind. I will definitely check out some of the other music this artist has-3 other albums here I think.

Nice album. Mostly well produced and mixed, occasionally a tad too repetitious. The opening track is especially strong, great guitar tones.

I don't know why you feel the need to put everyone down with your many harsh reviews of others, especially being a 'Buddhist trying to rid myself of negative thoughts'. Your music reflects peace and tranquility, yet you come across as hostile and aggressive in your reviews of others. I don't know if this makes you feel superior, but it is not necessary to belittle others, your music stands on it's own 2 feet. My advice to you - let people remember you for your beautiful music, not for your sometimes obnoxious reviews !!

Anyway, enough about that. The music is very enjoyable on this album, I like this album best from your several uploaded albums and EPs.

I used the "Three 4 Ten" sound track to go with my short youtube video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hz4cnEBDOs
Thanks for sharing.

Ever since I joined jamendo back in 2007, I have been listening to the music of SaReGaMa. I really enjoyed their "4 Elements", as well as basically all of their releases.

"4D Reality" is their take on a mainly ambient-ish shape of sound, and contains some of their best tracks so far - among them the striking "Afterimage", and the outright funky-electronic-ethinc "Shanti". And on any of the tracks, which span a wide musical range with a lot of electronic, dance as well as ethnic and ambient influences, it becomes clear that the artist is indeed a master of his trade.

Yet there are downsides: even though there are great tracks on that album, it misses a cohesiveness which lets you want to listen to the album in one go. Being an album man (vs. single man), I certainly enjoy works of musical art where whole of the album is more than the sum of its tracks - and here, the whole actually seems less than the sum.

Still, a collection of some outstanding tracks!

When I closed my eyes as I was listening, I had an impression, that I was any place except here and now. Thank you very much :)

Now this one is one of your best works. It has that invisible SaReGaMa imprint, that particular trademark of yours engraved in the sounds and this makes this album very special. Long, complicated and beautifully laid down sounds. Each and every track needs a lot of listening in order to appreciate the hidden beauty. Each and every channel is precisely engineered by the dude to make this album a great listen.

1. Shanti: Muahwahawow! What a great remix! Great! This one is a surprise package!

2. Clouds Fly as I smile: This track was a great remix. I have already listened to the original soundtrack and found it very light to the ears. But the way you have added effects and beats, it makes the tracks very lively.

3. FonkyS: Scratching....scratching? Good music but not exactly to my liking.

4. Ngwiza: This one is my favorite. Music with a pleasant mood.

I don't have enough words to describe the complete album. But if works like this keep coming up for free then I think it will revolutionize the listening experience and mode of people.

after a long time of playing SaReGaMa stuff, including Triplexity, I have to say that this album/compilation is my favourite.

Maybe i should give this 10/10? but 9 will do for now, i don't know why but maybe it is because i can say - "this sounds a bit like..." I don't know if that is a valid reason - One thing is that SaReGaMa does sound quite a bit like SaReGaMa which is good - so whilst having tinges of influence showing through there is also a SaReGaMa 'beat/rythm/thing' that tells you who you are listening to without consulting the playlist (i play all my stuff on random most of the time so like artists who i can recognise by sound) - anyway, erm that is why i gave it 9/10 - seems to me i should give it 10 erm.... nah, i'm sure better is yet to come, so... 9/10 it is...

As for the music, this is just a good collection of SRGM stuff and sits more to the 'cool' than some of the SRGM stuff that i, for now, can't pidgin hole... but the song that goes "....smile" half way through it which makes me wince slightly on hearing it - so anyway this album/compilation doesn't have any wince moments its all good.

(There is something on here that sounds mysteriously like the latest Triplexity single.)

Hello SaReGaMa,

This review from me has been long due as I've been listening to your music regularly since I discovered it. You are very talented musician.

4D Reality is one beautiful collection of music. Every song is very well crafted piece of music(both production wise and in arrangement). There is not a single moment during the listening where the music loosens it's grip on the listener. And your music grows on with every subsequent listening. Listening to this album is like taking a journey through some musical space/time for me. Among my favorite are Shanti, Subliminal Psychotronics, Fonky S and Forest Spirit.

The recording quality and choice of your sounds/samples in your tracks is superb. You must spend a lot of time on this.

You also add just enough nice/pleasant sounding reverb and effects to make these tracks into excellent atmospheric ones with lots of feeling.

Good use of panning as well, sounds great on headphones :-).

Love this music, makes me feel like a part of this wonderful world. I think you got loads of emotion into this music, it is really awesome. Hope to see more albums like this from you eventually, keep up the good work!

Regards
Himlaklar
